Office Changes In Response to COVID-19
Your safety and the safety of all our clients and staff is top priority. We are asking that if you (1) have experienced flu-like symptoms including recent cough/respiratory problems (2) had a fever and (3) been out of the country or anywhere with a travel advisory in the last 21 days, do not come into the office until you are cleared by your medical provider. We are providing telehealth counseling (confidential online counseling) to clients whose insurance covers services and private pay clients. Please check with your insurance company for coverage. Lastly, please take all necessary precautions to stay healthy.
Welcome to Sozo Life And Wellness Center, PLLC online.
There are times in life when we experience personal conflict, struggle and overwhelming pain, no matter who we are. During those times it can be difficult to find our bearing. We may feel helpless and sometimes hopeless and it can affect every area of our lives. SozoLife And Wellness is here to provide hope, relief and help to restore you to a place of peace, joy and clarity.
Cognitive Behavior Therapy focuses on challenging and changing cognitive distortions (thoughts, beliefs and attitudes) and behaviors, improving emotional regulation and the development of personal coping strategies that target current problems.
Sozo (verb): 1) means heal, make whole, recover, restore, save, keep safe and sound and rescue from destruction. 2) It also means preservation, soundness, deliverance and prosperity.
Goal of Treatment
While the initial goal of treatment is to address and resolve the current stress-or(s) you are experiencing, ultimately attention should be given to how that current stress-or is affecting other areas of your life.
The staff at Sozo Life And Wellness are committed to helping our clients achieve “balanced” and “well-rounded” lives. Not only do we want to help you address the immediate stressor(s) in your life, we desire to engage you in the process of becoming aware of and making choices toward a more successful existence in every area of your life.
Why would you need a counselor?
Everyone at some point experiences life challenges. Sometimes, negative thought patterns or habits interfere with us experiencing the life that we desire. Sometimes life interruptions, traumatic events or unexpected circumstances leave us at a crossroad that we find difficult to navigate and then there are other instances where for whatever reason we have lost equilibrium. Sometimes just reaching out to family or friends will provide the support you need but there are other times when the assistance of a professional may be necessary. Whatever the case, when we face those difficult times, having the help of a professional to come alongside and provide effective support and coping skills is advantageous. Know that God loves you and He wants to restore your soul, your will [choices], emotions and intellect [mind]. (Psalm 23:3)
